Nuggets tie series vs. T-Wolves
Nikola Jokic scored 16 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter, and Aaron Gordon had 27 points on 11-for-12 shooting to propel the Nuggets to a series-tying 115-107 victory over the Timberwolves on Sunday night in Game 4 .
“It’s just like a laser-sharp focus,” Gordon said, “and a surgical execution.”
Pacers dismantle Knicks to even series
The Indiana Pacers tied the Eastern Conference semifinals at two games apiece after dismantling the New York Knicks 121-89 on Sunday.
The Pacers led by as many as 43 points over the course of the contest. The 32-point win is Indiana’s third-biggest playoff victory ever.
All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton led the team in scoring with 20 points. Five other players scored in double digits, including T.J. McConnell, who recorded 15 points and 10 assists off the bench.
The Premier League title race will go to the last day of the season after Arsenal returned to the top of the standings with a 1-0 win at Manchester United on Sunday.
Leandro Trossard struck in the 20th minute at Old Trafford to ensure Arsenal will take defending champion Manchester City to the final round of games next Sunday.
Anything other than a win against United for Mikel Arteta’s team could have seen City clinch the title with victory at Tottenham on Tuesday. Arsenal duly delivered and moved one point ahead of its title rival in second place.
While the title is still in City’s hands, it will have to win the remaining two games to be certain of a record fourth-straight English league title.
Fulham 0 Manchester City 4
Pep Guardiola’s in-form defending champions head to north London on Tuesday night for their high-profile game in hand on title rivals Arsenal knowing that a ninth straight domestic win would take them back top by two points and leave them in pole position to claim an unprecedented fourth successive top-flight title – and sixth in the last seven years – on the final day of the season.
City go to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the luxury of an almost fully-fit squad to choose from, with Nathan Ake their only injury concern after he suffered a foot issue and limped off during the first half of Saturday’s 4-0 win over Fulham.
The versatile Dutch defender is improving and will be assessed ahead of a final pre-Spurs training session on Monday, while Guardiola has also confirmed that Jack Grealish has shaken off a bout of illness to be available for a pivotal showdown in an enthralling title race having missed out entirely on the game at Craven Cottage at the weekend.
