The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired right-hander Jack Flaherty from the Detroit Tigers for catcher/first baseman Thayron Liranzo and shortstop Trey Sweeney, the teams announced.
Flaherty signed a one-year, $14-million deal with the Tigers in the offseason and rewarded them with a stellar bounce-back campaign. The 28-year-old posted a 2.95 ERA, 3.11 FIP, and 0.96 WHIP along with 133 strikeouts and only 19 walks over his 18 starts in Detroit.
