Former New England Patriots head coach and general manager Bill Belichick is looking to return to the sidelines in 2025, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
However, Belichick will only return in the right situation and is expected to be selective if he takes a head coaching job, Schefter adds.
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said in July that he offered Belichick the defensive coordinator role following the 2023 season, but the 72-year-old politely declined the gig. Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay also considered bringing in Belichick as his defensive coordinator, sources told Schefter.
