Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott may require season-ending surgery after suffering a partial avulsion of his right hamstring, a source told The Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins.
A partial avulsion is when part of the tendon pulls away from the bone.
Cowboys officials are still determining whether the tear will heal on its own or if the quarterback will need to have a procedure to repair the injury, Watkins adds. Prescott injured his hamstring in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
