Jim Larranaga, who led the University of Miami’s men’s basketball team to its first Final Four in the school history in 2023, has stepped down as head coach, the Associated Press and CBS Miami’s news partner The Miami Herald reported Thursday.
The university’s athletics department has called a news conference for 1:30 p.m. with the reason not stated.
Larranaga will be replaced by associate head coach Bill Courtney for the remainder of the season, a source told AP.
