Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault was confirmed as a coach for one of the four teams in the NBA’s revamped All-Star Game in San Francisco, the league announced Sunday.
Daigneault earned the spot with the Thunder’s 127-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, as his team secured the best record in the Western Conference through games played until Feb. 2.
“An honor,” Daigneault said of the accomplishment after the win. “Huge thank you to all the people that are behind the scenes on that in the organization that work with the players, not only this season, but in previous seasons. This has been a build, and a lot of people have their fingerprints on that. So a huge thank you to them.”
