Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has chosen to stay with the team for another season rather than pursue a head coaching job, according to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
The decision takes him out of the running for the New Orleans Saints’ opening. New Orleans, which had requested to interview Kingsbury, has the only remaining head coaching vacancy.
The Saints have completed in-person interviews with Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.
New Orleans is set to speak with former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy this weekend, according to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football.
