Dallas Cowboys pass-rusher Micah Parsons called out team owner Jerry Jones for impeding progress on a contract extension.
“We obviously wanted to get done early. We want that relief. … But, obviously, ownership is always gonna make it drag out, make it more complicated than it has to be,” Parsons said on WWE legend The Undertaker’s “Six Feet Under” podcast, per ESPN’s Field Yates. “Lack of communication and that standpoint.”
Parsons is entering the final season of his contract and is slated to play the 2025 campaign under a fifth-year option worth $24 million. The 2021 first-round pick has been in negotiations on an extension that would likely make him one of the league’s highest-paid edge rushers.
