Florida State hands No. 8 Alabama first season-opening loss since 2001

Florida State ran for more than 200 yards and four touchdowns – including a Tommy Castellanos rushing score in his Seminoles debut – to beat No. 8 Alabama 31-17 on Saturday in Tallahassee.

It’s the first time the Crimson Tide have lost their season opener since 2001, but marks the program’s third loss in four games dating back to last year.
