The standout game is on Sunday as the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs meet in a blockbuster clash at the Highmark Stadium.

The two sides are rated amongst the favourites to win the Super Bowl by NFL betting site Betway and will be eager to showcase their title credentials.

The Chiefs are marginal favourites to defeat the Bills, although there is little to choose between the two sides in the match result market.

NFL 2025 Week 9 – Key talking points

Chiefs face a tough test against the Bills

The Chiefs have rattled off a three-game winning run since slipping to a surprise 31-28 defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars in October.

They have recorded an 89-24 combined scoreline during those games, highlighting how well things are working on both sides of the ball.

However, their defensive unit will be severely tested this weekend by a team which has scored 207 points in seven outings this season.

Bills’ running back James Cook III currently leads the NFL in rushing yards per game (107.6). If the Chiefs fail to stop him, they could suffer their fourth defeat of the season.

Packers cannot afford to underestimate the Panthers

The Green Bay Packers are top of NFC North with a 5-1-1 record and are overwhelming favourites to defeat the Carolina Panthers this weekend.

Although they have recorded three consecutive victories over the Panthers, it is worth noting that the winning margin has never been greater than eight points.

The Packers have developed a worrying habit of dropping down to the level of lesser teams, as evidenced by scratchy recent victories over the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals.

The Panthers have posted a 4-4 record this season and could make life difficult for the home side if they produce another stuttering performance.

Jaguars hoping for a pick-me-up against the Raiders

The Jaguars are 4-3 after losing their last two games before a Week 8 hiatus, but face a tricky return to action against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders triumphed 19-14 when these two sides met in December last season and will view their latest meeting as a winnable contest.

While the Jaguars have shown signs of progress under head coach Liam Coen, a tally of just 19 points in their two recent defeats highlights their offensive unit still needs work.

The Raiders defeated Tennessee Titans 20-10 in their last home game on October 12 and could be a good value bet at odds of 27/20 to move to 3-5 for the season.
