The NBA suspended Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart seven games for his role in Monday’s brawl during his team’s matchup with the Charlotte Hornets.
Stewart received the longest ban of the four players disciplined Wednesday. The Hornets’ Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabate each received four-game suspensions, while Pistons center Jalen Duren was handed a two-game ban.
The NBA said Stewart’s “history of unsportsmanlike acts” factored into his stricter punishment. The Pistons big man was on the bench when the fight broke out but ran onto the court to challenge Bridges, who was being held back by coaches from chasing Duren.
