Bruce Thornton is a standout, veteran point guard who has spent all four years at Ohio State—a rarity in modern college basketball. Despite the team missing the NCAA Tournament during his first three seasons, Thornton now leads the Buckeyes into March Madness as a No. 8 seed, facing TCU in the first round.
He leaves a historic legacy at Ohio State, becoming the program’s all-time leading scorer and one of only two Big Ten players to record 2,000+ points, 500+ rebounds, and 500+ assists. His performance has steadily improved each year, peaking in 2025–26 with over 20 points per game on highly efficient shooting.
Despite his strong college career, Thornton is projected as a late second-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. A former four-star recruit and top-10 point guard in his class, he is currently 22 years old and will turn 23 in September.
