Three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence requested a trade from the New York Giants, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Lawrence reportedly plans to skip the Giants offseason workout program that kicks off Tuesday.
The two sides have tried to negotiate a new deal in the past two offseasons but haven’t made any progress, sources told Schefter.
Lawrence, 28, is under contract for two more seasons. His current deal includes a base salary of $18.5 million but has no guaranteed money remaining, according to Over The Cap. He originally signed a four-year, $90-million extension with New York in 2023.
