The Sacramento Kings will bring back head coach Doug Christie for his second full season in 2026-27, sources told ESPN’s Anthony Slater.
The Kings head into the final day of the regular season tied with the Utah Jazz for the worst record in the Western Conference and fourth-worst mark overall at 22-59.
Christie took over as head coach in December 2024, following the Kings’ firing of Mike Brown. He finished out that initial 2024-25 season with a 27-24 record, leading the franchise to make him the permanent head coach on a new three-year contract.
