Where to Watch Timberwolves vs. Spurs Game 3: TV Channel, Streaming, Start Time for NBA Playoffs

Posted on May 8, 2026 by Santiago Leon

The Minnesota Timberwolves return home Friday night looking to regain momentum in their NBA Playoffs second-round series against the San Antonio Spurs. After a tough loss in Game 2, Minnesota will try to capitalize on home-court advantage at the Target Center in Minneapolis as the series shifts to Game 3.

The series is currently tied 1-1 after the Spurs delivered a dominant 133-95 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 2. Minnesota struggled offensively throughout the matchup, with Anthony Edwards, Julius Randle, and Jaden McDaniels each scoring 12 points. Naz Reid contributed 11 points off the bench, but it wasn’t enough to slow down San Antonio’s high-powered offense.

Now, the Timberwolves will look for a stronger performance in front of their home crowd as they aim to take a 2-1 series lead.

How to Watch Timberwolves vs. Spurs Game 3

Fans can catch Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs series exclusively on Prime Video.

  • Date: Friday, May 8, 2026
  • Start Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
  • Streaming: Prime Video
  • Radio: iHeartRadio, Timberwolves App, KFAN FM 100.3
  • Location: Target Center

Timberwolves Looking for Bounce-Back Performance

Minnesota enters Game 3 hoping to quickly move past its worst playoff loss of the postseason. The Timberwolves were unable to contain San Antonio’s offense in Game 2 and struggled to establish rhythm on both ends of the floor.

Anthony Edwards remains the key player for Minnesota heading into Friday’s matchup. The All-Star guard has been the focal point of the Timberwolves offense throughout the playoffs, and Minnesota will need a much stronger offensive showing to compete with the Spurs.

Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels will also play important roles as the Timberwolves attempt to slow down San Antonio’s fast-paced attack.

Spurs Continue Strong Playoff Run

The Spurs continue to impress behind their young core, using a balanced offensive attack to even the series. San Antonio dominated Game 2 from start to finish and will now attempt to steal a road victory in Minneapolis.

With the series tied, Game 3 could become a pivotal turning point in determining which team gains control heading deeper into the Western Conference semifinals.

Basketball fans can expect another high-energy playoff atmosphere Friday night as the Timberwolves and Spurs battle for the series lead.
