Where to Watch Cavaliers vs. Pistons Game 3: TV Channel, Streaming, Time and NBA Playoff Preview

Posted on May 9, 2026 by Santiago Leon

The Detroit Pistons have taken full control of their NBA Playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, grabbing a surprising 2-0 lead heading into Game 3 on Saturday afternoon. Now, the series shifts to Cleveland, where the Cavaliers will look to avoid falling into a nearly impossible 3-0 hole.

Detroit secured back-to-back wins to open the series, defeating Cleveland 111-101 on Tuesday before following it up with a 107-97 victory on Thursday night. Rising star Cade Cunningham continues to lead the Pistons’ postseason push, while Cleveland searches for answers entering a must-win matchup at Rocket Arena.

Pistons Take 2-0 Series Lead

The Pistons have been one of the biggest surprises of the NBA Playoffs so far, winning both games behind balanced scoring and strong defense. In Thursday’s Game 2 victory, Cade Cunningham dominated once again with 25 points and 10 assists, showing why he has emerged as the face of Detroit basketball.

Veteran forward Tobias Harris also delivered a strong performance, adding 21 points and 7 rebounds to help Detroit maintain control throughout the game.

Detroit’s defense has also been a major factor, limiting Cleveland’s offensive rhythm and forcing difficult shots late in both contests.

Cavaliers Facing Pressure in Game 3

The Cavaliers now return home desperately needing a win to stay competitive in the series. Cleveland entered the playoffs with high expectations, but the team has struggled to contain Detroit’s backcourt while failing to generate enough consistent offense.

With the home crowd behind them at Rocket Arena, the Cavaliers will hope to shift momentum and avoid falling behind 3-0 — a deficit no NBA team has ever overcome in a playoff series.

Cade Cunningham Emerging as Playoff Star

Cade Cunningham has elevated his game during the postseason and continues to prove himself as one of the NBA’s brightest young stars. Through the first two games of the series, Cunningham has controlled the pace offensively while making clutch plays in key moments.

If Detroit can continue receiving strong contributions from Cunningham and Tobias Harris, the Pistons could be on the verge of one of the biggest playoff upsets of the year.

Cavaliers vs. Pistons Game 3 Prediction

Game 3 is shaping up to be a pivotal matchup for both teams. Cleveland will likely play with desperation at home, but Detroit enters with confidence after winning the first two games convincingly.

The Cavaliers are slight favorites entering Saturday’s contest, but the Pistons have already shown they can win in tough environments and execute under playoff pressure.
