Brock Rechsteiner will be sidelined for the first month-plus of the season. The New Orleans Saints wide receiver has been slapped with a six-game ban, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
No reason was given for the suspension. Rechsteiner will still be allowed to participate in all preseason practices and games. As Schefter notes, the suspension will take place when rosters are reduced to 53 players.
Rechsteiner is known for being a member of the Rechsteiner wrestling family, with his father performing professionally as Scott Steiner. Brock Rechsteiner is coming off a five-year stint at Jacksonville State, including a senior campaign where he hauled in 36 catches for 383 yards and five touchdowns. He went undrafted in this past year’s draft, and after earning a workout with the Titans, he caught on with the Saints.
