LIV Golf notified most of its staff on Wednesday that they’ll be laid off during the first week of September, a spokesperson confirmed to The Athletic’s Brody Miller and Gabby Herzig.
“We are scaling back operations as we transition to the next chapter of LIV Golf and work toward making LIV 2.0 a reality,” a LIV Golf spokesperson said in a statement, according to The Athletic.
LIV continues to seek investors after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund ended its financial support earlier this year.
