Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Sam Darnold did not fracture his hip and that the team received “great news” about his injury prognosis following Wednesday’s 13-10 victory over the New England Patriots, according to NFL reporter Andrew Siciliano.
Macdonald added that more testing is still needed.
The Seahawks were without Darnold for most of their season-opening win after the quarterback got hurt on the opening drive. Darnold appeared to injure his hip when he was sacked on a third down. He limped off the field and went to the medical tent to be evaluated before heading to the locker room. The veteran was ruled out shortly before halftime.
