Why the NFL Moved Bears-Packers Earlier
Two factors drove the change. Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams is dealing with a Grade 2 hamstring strain suffered in the Bears’ Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 49ers (3-0) versus Seahawks (2-1) matchup offers a stronger contrast. Both NFC West teams have looked competitive early, and the game carries established rivalry value. Placing it in the 4:25 p.m. ET window gives FOX a higher-profile contest when more viewers are available after the early slate of games.
