The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 3-2 in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday.
Brewers closer Trevor Megill loaded the bases in the ninth inning but stranded the tying run at third base to secure the win. Megill struck out Jonny DeLuca after the Rays overturned a potential game-ending double play the batter prior on replay review.
“Megill kept his composure,” Brewers manager Pat Murphy said when speaking about the long replay review.
