Does the NFL Pay Halftime Performers?
Super Bowl halftime headliners generally do not receive substantial appearance fees. The NFL typically covers major production expenses, and performers may receive union-scale compensation. The global exposure can also benefit artists. However, the NFL has not confirmed that these arrangements apply to international regular-season halftime shows.
Was the NFL Madrid Halftime Show Sponsored?
Turizo’s appearance was part of the NFL’s international entertainment programming presented by American Express. Sponsorship does not, by itself, establish whether the artist received direct payment.
Why Manuel Turizo?
The Colombian singer is known for Latin hits including “La Bachata,” “El Merengue” and “Una Lady Como Tú.” His appearance connects the NFL’s international expansion with Spanish-speaking and Latin music audiences.
Where Was the Game Held?
The Bengals and Falcons were scheduled to play November 8, 2026, at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, the home of Real Madrid.
How Much Could Turizo Have Earned?
No verified compensation figure is available. His agreement could involve an appearance fee, expense reimbursement or promotional considerations, but the terms have not been disclosed. Estimating his payment from typical concert fees would be speculative.
