The Detroit Lions are making Kerby Joseph the highest-paid safety in NFL history with a four-year, $86-million extension, sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Joseph, who will earn $21.5 million annually, surpasses Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ safety Antoine Winfield Jr.’s mark of $21.025 million per year to earn the claim of the highest-paid safety.
