Dallas Cowboys Sign Andy Dalton

In surprising developments, quarterback Andy Dalton signs with the Dallas Cowboys to a 1-year deal worth up to the $7 million that includes $3 million guaranteed.

The Bengals’ second-round pick in the 2011 draft, Dalton spent nine seasons in Cincinnati, helping the team clinch five playoff berths. Dalton, who lost his starting job last season to then-rookie Ryan Finley, was released by the Bengals on Thursday following the selection of Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

Dalton played college football at Texas Christian University, and in his final college game led TCU to a win in the 2011 Rose Bowl. He is the all-time leader in wins at Texas Christian University.
