Nigel Knott retires from Alabama

One of Alabama’s reserve defensive backs is no longer with the football program.

Nigel Knott, who hadn’t practiced with the team since the spring because of an undisclosed medical situation, has been medically disqualified.

Nigel Knott is no longer cleared medically to play football, according to Alabama HC Nick Saban.

Really hate that for him. Heard from a lot of players that he was a glue guy in the locker room. Was a big-time recruit out of high school.
