Should Trevor Lawrence choose to opt out of College Football this season?

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence recently contracted COVID-19 and missed two games, including the game they lost against Notre Dame. But as a favorite to be a first round NFL Draft pick, even being a #1 pick favorite, can he choose to opt out of the college football this season completely?

Matt Caddell, Sports Cast Contributor, says that it’s a possibility, “He’s proved it with winning two national championships. He’s been one of the top quarterbacks the past two to three years. I don’t think he has anything approved for him to go out there. Maybe possibly risk an injury… If I was him, I was just sit out. I mean, you already play some games.”

Lawrence has won two National Championships with Clemson in 2018 and 2019, and has been a favorite by a lot of NFL teams like the New York Patriots and the New York Jets. He’s currently a junior in college, and is eligible to enter the NFL Draft. He could also decide to play another year in college football as a Senior.
