Hi,
Miss last week, I was out of town and I traveled all week. Well, basically, I drove all the way to Virginia all the way back. I got back last night. I’m tired of animal troubles with technical difficulties. So tonight will be a very, very brief very, very quick, very, very straight to the point show. arm. I’m just going to kind of touch on the big 10 what’s happening there patchwall what’s
happening there?
Obviously I missed a couple of weeks. So a lot has happened. The big thing that’s happened in both conferences is just a lot of cancellations. Couple cancellations, the big 10 I think there’s too many there’s three in the PAC 12 there’s already one this week for the big 10 there’s another one that might be Pac 12. Who knows it had nine so far in four weeks, so there’s a decent chance that there’s gonna be cancellations. Now title has done a decent job of rescheduling doing makeup games have done two makeup games the conference and did one makeup game of the non conference team. The big 10 hasn’t been able to make any games. I don’t know if maybe that’s possibility this week. I know Northwestern Minnesota canceled and I think there’s a pretty good decent chance Ohio State and Michigan State canceled so then maybe Michigan say vs Northwestern. I don’t know
this possibility. What to say about the conferences
as I think there’s only one team from either those two, either these two conferences, it’s just kind of a mesh together. I think there’s only one team left. Remember they were the last two conferences in the power five to get going. October 24? Is the start date for the big 10 November 7 for the PAC 12. I think there’s one team and one team alone that can make possible playoff in either conference and that is Ohio State. You could make a slight argument if USC finishes six no and winning the PAC 12.
If all
hell breaks loose. This is the highly doubtful I mean, it didn’t look very good in the first three games. I mean, it barely won, they won last last second drives the first week against Arizona state’s second week against Arizona. On they finally look decently it’s Utah, but I would put it at like 10% 5% less mad I don’t know. Um, and that’s about it. As far as anyone else from the big 10. I think nobody has a chance everyone else is lost and just aren’t playing enough games. So anyways, I think Ohio State’s The only chance and I think they are a little bit in jeopardy. They had their game canceled last week against Illinois because of the covid outbreak on the Ohio State team. They currently canceled all football activities. They are pretty doubtful, I think to play this week against Michigan State which would make them have three cancellations so far. And I believe there would no longer be eligible for the big 10 title because you have to play at least six games to be eligible, and they would only be able to play five before the championship weekend. That being said, if they still finished five of those six, no, there is a chance at Ohio State because right now the number 14 but a college football playoff. So I think there’s a chance they still might be able to get in just because of who they are and the talent they have in the roster and basically the committee thinking that they’re one of the four best teams, but I think they could also get left out I if you just look at the resume. I think it is good team five and one but Indiana is probably in jeopardy too because they just lost Michael Phoenix or starting quarterback to ACL injury for the season. So I think it’s kind of doubtful that they’re going to be very good for the rest of this year. So that’s the best victory other than that the victory is Guess three below 500 teams Nebraska Rutgers and Penn State. um they probably would mean they even if they play Michigan Michigan State I believe misconceived Michigan both of Michigan State 500, they might be 500. They might not be I can kind of think of my other. It could be three and three, but they could also be doing four. But I know that Michigan’s two and four and they’re looking terrible. So there’s a decent possibility that Ohio State would have five victories. And for the teams are losing records. On championship weekend, maybe they get a game against Wisconsin because Wisconsin’s not eligible either, because they’ve missed three games due to cancellation will say, I will at this point I like it’s so hard to see what’s going to happen. It’s so hard to predict. It’s such a fluid situation, the audits have been an exhausting season, from the initial postponement to getting going to all the cancellations and just the COVID outbreaks in recent weeks across the United States and across college football landscape. I just I don’t know what it is. And who knows what happens. But I will tell you, I say it’s the only possible team in either conference that has a chance to watch football playoff on Pac 12. My team Oregon, just to touch on them. Specifically. They lost. They lost Oregon State they’re in state rival. That was not a good loss, obviously a team that they’d beaten. I know they’d been in the last three years in a row. They’ve just hammered them actually. Well, the first two years they hammered him, Willie Taggart, and then for sure, Chris bald, and they actually had a pretty close game last year, they still play very well. And it kind of helps him play very well. That’s why the last this week, I’m teasing about Oregon.
All the OPT outs on specifically on defense really was impactful. I just they are not good defensively. They don’t really have any leadership. They’re not tapping. Well, they’re not playing while they’re statistically at the bottom half the conference when it comes to rush defense scoring defense yards per game. They are not a good defensive team. Offensively, they’re fine. Offensively, they have done enough every week to win and they did enough last week. I mean, you think 38 points I If you had told me that, oh, they’re gonna score 38 points are be able to win not always a win by but they’ll win. But they didn’t have one so they’re unfortunately just are. That’s what they are. They have a couple games left. They could win. They have more talented rosters and then definitely cow and even Washington who’s first in the north right now and I think he has probably the second most talent roster in the north and he has a pretty good team. But or you could beat him or Washington’s definitely not very good. Offensively they squeaked out at 2421 come from behind victory over Utah. But uh, Washington’s pretty limited. Morris really can’t get the ball down the field. Dylan Moore star quarterback for Washington has really struggled to get the ball down the field had three interceptions against Utah. I’ve seen him play three games and other than the kind of the short intermediate passing game he’s really not very effective. So if you could take away that kind of make him just beat you down the field. I don’t think he’s gonna win a lot. So then kind of make it a team a little bit one dimensional. Even as bad as Oregon’s offenses. Sorry, does is played. Now Washington’s good defense. Oh Washington has the best defense in the backdrop so the Oregon offense which has been good. They were very like this was at week one. They were pretty good. They turned the ball over a couple times but they were pretty good. Week two there actually were very good. 500 plus yards of total offense if it wasn’t for three turnovers, they probably would have won that game by like 21 plus points. They were very good. Week Three was when you started to see a pretty good game plan UCLA who does not have a bad defense. He saw that against cow week two then I saw it again against on week four against Arizona UCLA has a decent defense as against Oregon. They were able to get up to pass rusher arm they’re able to stop the run now they did give a lot of plays in the past game i see to kind of sold out. But I kind of think it gave a little bit of a brute blueprint for Oregon State Oregon State also was able to at times get after the quarterback a little bit there also are times able to get negative plays in the run game. But once again, Oregon was able to get them down the field in the past game for some explosive place. Now cow and Washington will be the two best defenses that Oregon faces. Um, that being said, both those teams callin Washington are better against the past they’re better past defenses. They’re not as good against the run. I think Oregon will be able to run the ball a little bit and then that probably will set the bass. I still think Oregon has enough talent, the offensive side of the ball to probably be pretty effective. defensively. These are two of the probably. I mean, I’d say Washington cow I’d say cows probably the worst offense in the black dwarf so far. Um, I still think they’re very good comparatively, but this defense is depressing. Who knows? Maybe
they’ll be awesome this week. As far as defensively Cal like I said, it’s a good defense and then so callin Washington. Washington is probably middle ish in the PAC 12 as far as offense can run, if they can do pretty good offensive line a pretty good at protecting the quarterback and they can run the ball pretty effectively. It’s just passing they’re pretty limited because more is not very you just can’t get the ball downfield All right? So pretty much kind of the short game use the tight end a lot arm can can beat him or you could win both those games then they could go back to a championship they could be USC probably Colorado that’s probably to two teams. There’s going to be in the PAC 12 championship. And I think Oregon could be either team definitely possible so they could still go to near six game and be pack backs backpack 12 champions but tough loss and they definitely have not looked as good as I thought they would. If you had told me it’d be a year what do you what would you expect to the first four games of the season our two said I think the defense is gonna be
terrific.
I think it’s gonna be the best defense out the best second best defense the PAC 12 and I think the office will struggle a little I think the offensive line will probably take a little while to get going quarterback well the offense honestly for the most part other than the turnovers they have turned the ball over too much and it gets top my head it’s eight turnovers through four games in their their negative for in the turnover margin. But other than that, especially in the past game, the running has not been as good last two weeks especially the UCLA game, but for the most part they the passing game has been very good and tar shuck has been over 300 yards three times I think every game but the first game, and he has 10 touchdowns. I mean they’ve been able to definitely get the ball down the field and the broad receivers have been winning the match on tight end to be winning their matchups if caught running backs to catch the ball
off.
So they’ve passed the ball well, and they’ve run the ball really good the first two weeks and not bad game four against Oregon State. So it the offense if I view it totally, they’re gonna score 3542 38 and 38 points. I’d be like, oh, Oregon’s going to be?
Or no.
But now the defense has been do terrible. They’ve given up 500 yards against Oregon State 400 plus against Washington State and Stanford and UCLA on they have just been horrible with run defense. I mean, Felton was awesome Jones back to all four running backs well Craig and some of the past defense has been a demigod after quarterback. Well they’ve only four sacks to four games. Not very many quarterback hurry so there have not been good. Stopping the run again after the bass after the quarterback and even cream really the UCLA game they did create some turnovers there. There there was some turnovers created so I shouldn’t say that but outside UCLA game zero turnovers the other three games so in the past events for the most part the corners have been very good at which I would have predicted right look McHale right and did it Yeah, Didi Lenore I think are two of the better quarters the back wall so they’ve been good secondary that safeties they’ve given up himself and so of linebackers say tight ends and flop receivers and, and the short passing game has definitely been pretty effective for other teams. So we will see that Oregon definitely has to change skidded to be a little better defensively because I don’t think if they are they Nevada will lose one of the next three games. So that’s all I know. Um, other teams in the PAC 12 Washington’s undefeated. Like I said, I don’t think they’re a great team. They were Want to close games Oregon State they want to be out of 21 came from behind 21 and nothing at halftime they came from behind to win in the final minute 24 to 21 against Utah they dominated there’s only been Arizona’s honestly terrible team Rossington I think that is pretty good. They’re the team are predicted finished second. I still feel good about that. I still feel it. I feel that when that game comes, I think it’ll be a good game and I think Oregon is gonna win. Um, cows not any good their own three arm I don’t think I need to touch him that much. Stanford’s really not very good. They’re wanting to and there’s a lot of restrictions and a lot of protocols are dealing with in California. It’s been a tough year and I think that’s really affected them and there’s a little bit of talent talent disadvantage in general. So Oregon State is much improved in jobs. This isn’t a very good job either to and to, but even their loss to Washington was a very controversial fourth pound missed call by the referees that they might have won that game if that happened because they’re down like the three if it has scored their touchdown, they want to 128 to 27 and then they beat Oregon. They also be count so Oregon State is much improved. I’m missing Washington State. Good good week one victory Oregon State played pretty good against Oregon got beat beat the second half that they had grow the issues so they played for two weeks. I just thought I don’t know. We’ll say there’s play USC this week. And I think they have a last game in Stanford. um maybe they’ll get a couple games in I hope they hope they are scheduled this Sunday against you see if I’m missing someone else feels like I’m missing someone. Washington Oregon Oregon State Stanford Cal Oh my gosh. I’m missing someone in the PAC 12. Washington Washington State Oregon Oregon take no I got an extra South USC St. Oh. They finally didn’t play bad two weeks ago against Utah. So they are three known they won 3317 I still don’t take Debian very impressive on their offense has actually been kind of inconsistent. It’s not been this juggernaut like many people thought their offense would be on their defense is actually not that bad. They actually played very good against Utah. Now, Utah’s a little not the best offensively but they did play well. They weren’t as good against Arizona and they weren’t as good against Arizona state but it’s not bad. Dave caused some turnovers on the secondaries played pretty well they still took a little bit against Ron but they’ve not been bad offense. Like I said offensively if trouble one in the bad and then literally cuts this in the pass game. They’ve scored points but ditch did not been extremely efficient. which is unusual. I felt
USC is gonna have a great offense. But so far, they’ve been a little bit up and down. That being said, the three now on the supposedly Washington state this week, they have been dealing with COVID we’ll see how that goes. Um, Arizona State has not played a game since USC three state cancellations due to COVID. I believe they’re going to play this week. But honestly, they’re only going to get three four games in the season. It’s been a tough year for that. UCLA to and to almost beat Oregon, I mean a chance to win at the end there. They also against Colorado, they lost 4842. And if it wasn’t for the four turnovers, they probably could have won that game. They’re pretty they’re pretty good. And then they blew out Arizona and they blew out count. So they’re a team that is a couple of possessions away from being foreign home. They’ve been pretty good. I’ve watched them play they can run the ball pretty good. They can get after the quarterback pretty good there. They they’ve caused turnovers. They’re not a bad team. I’ve been actually kind of impressed with UCLA and I would not be shocked at all to see them beat Arizona State coming off of a three week layoff because the COVID and I would not be shocked they beat USC just when I think they’re not a bad team. I would just say so far from what I’ve seen if I were to say the two teams that impressed me the most actually been UCLA and Oregon State now they both played four games. And if you think wash a Washington cirino on USC three no Oregon’s three in one, but they are expected that those seams have more talent. Those teams have better personnel for the most part. Didn’t especially All in the crowd already which car cars three now, they had two games in a row. cancelled because the other team had COVID. arm.
Thought I had Arizona
State and then USC but they were able to reschedule a nonprofit game in San Diego State. All those three No. Three no they’ve not won by rock they won UCLA by six points. They won by three points over Stanford and then they won by 10 over San Diego State but save one. They’ve played pretty well. They play made cost turnovers on defense on the SAM lawyer he wasn’t as good last week but he was pretty good the first two games there were their surprise to Colorado Oregon State UCLA preseason out of well UCLA actually I for some reason felt as if they’re going to be a little better than people were projected to be. I kind of also thought that’s because Arizona and Colorado so bad, there’s a couple victories are going to get and I actually thought they’re going to be a little better. But or I think Oregon State are predicted to be one at five and I believe I predicted Colorado to be one and five maybe oh and six and bolt those teams much better than I thought. Um, and so props to call Doral props, Jonathan Smith, and props Chip Kelly for having a better team. Even though I thought that like I said UCLA is gonna be a little better. I didn’t necessarily think they’re going to be competitive. I didn’t think they’re gonna be competitive against arm. Oregon. I didn’t I thought that was a game that Oregon would just pull about building up. They’re already supposed to play Cal. But even when they when they got scheduled last second, I thought it was gonna be very close game. I don’t think they’re gonna win 30 40%. So props to UCLA. Props to UCLA for for being better. That being said, I think when it all comes down to it, I believe it will be USC vs. USC went wins this weekend. Ah. I I actually, if I were to predict right now, let me set on it a week. But I still use UCLA b2c, I just could see UFC losing again, but a foreign one, I still think Colorado somehow loses that game to Utah. And just some reason I don’t see him going five No. So then therefore, in one and I believe USC would be the tiebreaker, because Colorado was able to play two weeks in a row in the PAC 12. And so then USC would be the team to make the PAC 12 championship. I still as of today, even despite what Oregon did, and losing that game to Oregon State and the week before not looking very impressive versus UCLA. I just, I trust coaching staff, I trust the talent they have in the roster. I think they’re gonna get turned around. I think they’re gonna figure out how to win the conference. But that being said, When shocked Washington wins it. I think they’re a very good defense, and I think they’re doing enough on offense. I don’t think they’re a great offense. But Washington go six? No, I don’t think that would get them into college football playoff by stretch the beans, I think Did you know it’d be going to near near 16th. Big 10. I ultimately think Ohio State doesn’t lose. I just wonder. I mean, pretty doubtful they play against Michigan State this week, which is in their last games against Michigan and then the championship week, which they’re not eligible the big 10 championship, but I think did they probably schedule them against Wisconsin who’s not eligible either. And if they are able to beat Wisconsin, with victories over Wisconsin, Indiana, that gives them to top 10 to top 25 victories? Six No, they are what they are, they have the talent they have. I think that the probably there’s a decent chance to get into Plath. And I think that’s Ohio State’s goal right now. Because it’s been tough, and they haven’t looked great. as talented as they are. They beat three not good teams. And they won all three of those games. Those teams are gonna be really good. I mean, ruckers I don’t know that the records of top of my head, but I think it’s like two and four, one in four from Nebraska. And I think Penn State is one in five. And that’s a combined one I’m doing some I had an ace combined like between Why me like five and 12. Three, not very good teams. I’ve seen the players know those things are very good at Penn State’s kind of just falling off and Nebraska is not good again. It’s just really struggled to be consistent. And Rutgers is getting better, but they’re still just not a very talented roster. And then the one good team that
policy played. They won 42 to 35. They gave up 500 yards of offense. They got shredded in the pass game, Indiana had a chance to tie it at the end. And I think India has done a bad team. But also I don’t think Indiana is that good. And I think don’t think offensively that I could Why did they do so? Well, at Ohio State I know there’s no fans, but still.
I’m
actually I did a little I think the PAC 12 so I’ve been hit bantering back. his fans did make a difference does it on the PAC 12. It’s actually 10 through four weeks Home Team 10 victories road Team Six victories on last year during the same four week period, it was home eight victories road seven so actually, there’s more home victories this year, but no fans and it was last year with fans. So the title doesn’t own the difference. Now big 10 it was out saying I think right now it’s I don’t know what it was. It was 14 or 15. The first five weeks. I don’t know what Week Six, but I know it’s 14 pictures for the home team 15 pictures for the road team. So it pretty much seem like it didn’t matter. But it’s big Pac 12 have been a little bit of advantage this year for the home team despite no fans. Um, but I really I’ve seen the big 10 and obviously I just think it’s weird season for both big big 10 Pac 12 because COVID. But I really don’t think the football has been very good. I don’t think there’s a very many good teams. I mean, Wisconsin’s solid team Northwestern has a good defense. They have no offense. And that’s why I ended up getting upset against Michigan State. Indiana is not bad, but they just lost starting quarterback with an ACL surgery, I could see them losing the next game or two. Actually, I was not bad. I was one four in a row. And they play Wisconsin who knows I could see them finishing possibly six and two, I think they’re a little better than people maybe there’d be Minnesota is not very good reduce been pretty up and down. In in Rutgers in Illinois, just not that great. Even though Illinois been a little better than people I think anticipated. But it’d be at least in recent weeks, they had like a really impressive victory of interest. But as a whole, it really is an admission pensais are terrible. We have to mention that one in five and two and four, and say beat Michigan in the toilet. Those are two not good teams this year. Um, I will do either one turn around. And that’s those are That’s it, you know, it’s Ohio State. And then next to that was Penn State, Michigan. Nope, they’re both that. So I just don’t think the other teams are good enough and Wisconsin’s had half their games canceled due to COVID. Either them having it or the other team. So it’s just been a tough year that way from Wisconsin. So I think at the end of the day, I think it’s all about Ohio State who’s also had a tough time with COVID. But I think there’s enough talent to possibly sneak in at the number four. I could see them possibly not. And I also could see all this struggle with COVID up and down I could see maybe they play Wisconsin in
just
the last week of the season and actually lose because
all
getting interrupted not being able to do team activities that just affects with just the whole rhythm of the season. And that just I was thinking about it even prior to show them like that’s just right forgetting just knocked off. It just you come in there, you’re just out of rhythms not playing your best spider talented Ohio State has. And then at that point, no team for the big 10 no team for the PAC 12 makes it and if I were to say right now, as of today, November 30 we still have two weeks regular season we have championship weekend with how COVID is canceling stuff and how weird it is. It’s hard to predict anything. I for some reason feel as if the big 10 and Pac 12 ever since the seasons been postponed. And I’ve seen it come to flourish in nine cancellations in the PAC 12 to four weeks. I believe it is seven and it’s probably looking like eight cancellations in the big 10 through six weeks.
Um
I think both of them don’t make playoff. I do not think there’s going to be a big 10 or a PAC 12 team in the playoffs. I they for some reason Ohio State either just can’t get back on the field in time and five an hour whatever is not impressive enough native getting or I see them getting back and then just leave end up losing to like a Wisconsin last week of season. And I just don’t take like Pac 12 I’ll take even if the PAC 12 had a winner was Washington or USC one hour at this point. I don’t think either one make sense. I just don’t. And I’ll have to see I still think that Oregon wins it. That’s my prediction. And Oregon’s out they lost the Oregon State they’re done. And I thought was gonna be tough anyways, as we talk to the PAC 12 really tough and I thought it could go Ohio State’s way but think they’re gonna have to pay all their games or most of their games and pray pretty impressively. And unfortunately, it’s looking like they’re maybe going to get four or five six games in and they have not been maybe as impressive the teams if they had not played a very good schedule. And I just think yourself Isaac has been a tough year. And you look at Alabama, they’re a great team. They’re probably getting in you look at Notre Dame and Clemson is the only way Clemson does get in if they lose a game to Notre Dame on maybe they don’t but if they can be Notre Dame that I think they both get in I think Notre Dame’s in no matter what, um, I think Clemson is if they could win, we’ll definitely be in and then you’re looking at a and now with one loss possibly getting in Florida has been pretty impressive. If they bet definitely knock off Alabama, and they both will get in Alabama and Florida. You have an undefeated Cincinnati team. I don’t think when all is said and done not weigh a power five conference. I also think don’t they feel like at top 25 victories? I think it’d be tough. But who knows? I don’t know who else or is it is Ohio State is is a bit of house they loses they’re not going to get in the way of absolute chaos like Notre Dame beats Clemson so Clemson’s a two loss team. And then you know, Alabama wins, well does that defeated Jordan zoafia. So you have those two. And then the third and four is like, let’s say Ohio State loses, like I predicted. And, um, you know, Pac 12 is what they are, and the big 12 maybe a two loss Oklahoma who’s actually playing extremely well right now. Maybe they sneak in maybe I was stating probably who’s gonna play them? The big 12 maybe they I mean, I don’t know. And therefore who knows Texas a&m with one loss what the Texas a&m could still lose again. I don’t know it’s all up in there. At this point. If I were to pick the top four teams, I know what the playoff has. If I were to pick the top four teams right now I probably have number one be Alabama agree with that. Number two, I’d have Notre Dame number three if Clemson I actually put number four as of today, I’d probably put Texas a&m they had an impressive victory of Florida. I think they’re a pretty good team. I thought they’re going to be pretty good entering this season. Either probably have number five actually Florida, they’re only lost a&m. They’ve had a good victory over Georgia. I would then probably put Ohio State six, but it really is dependent are they going to play again? Or when are they going to play again and and so they’re a little bit of a flux I
mean, I think people are given the benefit of the doubt because they have a super talent roster they have one of the best quarterbacks in college football and Justin fields. But if you look at what they have in the field, I just don’t know if I’ve seen a great great team. I’ve seen a team that has a great quarterback and it’s great wide receivers but I’ve also seen a team that’s not been very good defensively arm they have given up points they gave up 35 to Indiana give 27 Rutgers via when he was 26 Penn State they got definitely their passing game every game that I’ve seen them in people definitely made some plays it through the air on them. They haven’t gotten a great pass rush I just don’t think they’re a great team yet. And I think part of it’s because of the covid season and just the weird scheduling and and the stop and start I just I just don’t think that is very good for getting rhythm on it not actually worse when it comes to the defense’s. I bought the same with Oregon. The postponement that guys they had three other best defensive players opt out and defensively they’re just not very good. Oregon’s pretty good offensively Oregon, I thought for the most part other than the turnovers is has been equipped offensively I mean their top in the PAC 12 and yards per game the top in yards per play their top and passing offense there but Thompson scoring, scoring and scoring points per game in the PAC 12. But defensively, they’re not good. And so for the most part most teams I’ve just haven’t seen and Northwestern has played pretty good defense The big panel and Wisconsin and in the PAC 12. Washington has played pretty good defense. But for the most part, the defense has been terrible in both those conferences, and teams like Ohio State and Oregon that normally have very good defenses. I don’t think they’ve been very good on defense. Now I’d be quiet state comparably to Oregon. I think Ohio State is a better offense. Lake Oregon, honestly, is one of the top three quarterbacks in college football. Ohio State is maybe the best wide receiver group in college football, they have one of the best offensive line. So I mean, I definitely say or say it’s better than Oregon. And they’ve obviously they’ve won all four games, Oregon lost their one game. Um, but I’m just saying in general defenses have not been good. offices had I guess, bite COVID. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s just play calling talent, they’ve been able to, to be more proficient for teams. So I personally do not think what I’ve seen from either of those conferences, if I were to rank my top 10. Like I said, I’d have Ohio State six. And then I think seven out have probably actually Georgia’s look pretty good. As much as they look good. I probably have Oklahoma or Georgia seven or eight. I think Iowa State actually probably i’d sneak in there like nine. And then I don’t know who I’d have to be 10. But I like to think of my head. I don’t know what whatever. Austin today wasn’t today, I’d have to say be top 10 for sure. Though, they’re a good team. They’re just don’t play in a good conference and don’t play against great competition. But, um, I really would probably Ohio State and that’s based mostly on just the talent they have now inside the wall, and not necessarily how they played. I just don’t think what I’ve seen so far in the big 10. And Pac 12 has been a great product. I think people give big 10 a little bit more benefit of the doubt because they just think they respect the programs like you know, Wisconsin and and I why so they’re in the top 45 but I don’t think they’re necessarily top 25 teams or even remotely College Football Playoff teams. And then in the PAC 12 USC in Washington a pretty decent teams to go along with Oregon fertile per se, but I don’t know necessarily I’ve they’re both undefeated. And so Oregon, but I think Colorado UCLA and Oregon State have been as impressive so far. Um, so I, I just right now, as I sit here today, I wish I would have to have my mind changed a little bit from the product on the field to put either anyone and it’s pretty much only I’ll say there’s a chance, but I think that there’s a pretty distinct possibility that come selection day, I just don’t think anyone’s going to be in there.
Maybe I will say, I do think that I’ll say because the talent they have an offense would be sued or foresee do that doesn’t really match between them and Alabama, because they can score an Alabama, um, I don’t think they’d be able to what I’ve seen so far and even I don’t know how much it’s not all that but I think they would score now. Um, so that would be intriguing. From that sense. I would not be really that intrigued by anyone else playing Alabama in the big 10 or Pac 12 because they did get killed. And I and I probably the more if you were to say like who would I think more deserving to play Alabama. Like you know, Clemson result and before matchup we first game, of course, on Notre Dame has never done very well against Alabama or against the big dogs, but they’re better this year. They beat Clemson. I know Trevor Lawrence isn’t playing but DJ Galatia gj Google, Well, hello. I can’t say his name. Whatever. DJ, you played very well. So it wasn’t his play. It was more the fact that it could actually really struggle on defense because probably some of the injuries they had but and I think people have kind of said well Clemson’s gonna come back and they’re gonna revenge that? I don’t know. From what I’ve seen from North Carolina. I’m sorry, nor vain. They played North Carolina. So that’s one thing. I don’t know. I don’t know necessarily. If this is gonna be in the second game. I really don’t. And then I would be strict as Clemson two losses probably in trouble not being a C champions of Ruby, the other team to get in via global I don’t know. So that’d be fun. I might as well have chaos, right? Whereas we’ll just have chaos. This is chaotic year. COVID. chaotic. So anyways, that’s all I have for tonight. It was a quick podcast. I just kind of want to briefly go over stuff. I’m going to quickly go through the games there right now scheduled in the big 10 and Pac 12. For this week. My prediction. They’re not gonna happen. I feel pretty strong about that. Is this Saturday, December 5, Ohio State, Michigan. I don’t think it happens. It Pick a hot seat to win but I don’t think it happens Nebraska at Purdue to Purdue win hold on any that Purdue see last game? No, you didn’t be Rutgers Purdue’s played very well on their last or last What is it three four games. Um, but Nebraska’s one four I’ll take Purdue. Um, Penza Rutgers. Rutgers is not that bad. Two victories for the team is a very talented Grace Jones did a good job. I take Penn State because Penn State one last week, but don’t be shocked represents Indiana Wisconsin. I will maybe said with Scott, I’m sorry, Indiana, but losing the quarterback Michael Phoenix. I think they’re gonna struggle. I think Wisconsin wins that and not the Wisconsin marathon much. I think Wisconsin is gonna win that. I was gonna say they didn’t look good against Northwestern. I think they’ll come back and win. Maryland at Michigan is terrible right now. I don’t know. They’re just not very good team. Let’s go Maryland. iwriter. Illinois,
I’m
always playing
pretty good ball, I would probably take either Northwestern versus Minnesota is canceled due to the COVID cases for Minnesota. Pac 12. We’ll look at that quickly. actually probably kind of know, off the top of my head. What I’m gonna see if I can, Pac 12.
See if I can
schedule
and then I’m just going to be heading out so the actual schedule. I’m going to do December 5. So didn’t get us up. Stanford versus Washington. I’m assuming this happens pretty bad restriction to California. They’re not allowing people to practice in Santa Clara County. I think they might be going to Washington to practice for the week. I’m gonna take Washington staffers just stay you know, it’s been tough season for them. I just think Washington will better I think they’re going to have trouble scoring on Washington. Colorado versus Arizona once again Colorado has been very impressive I need to go for now. I think they beat Arizona I don’t think Arizona has a starting quarterback rank and now I think he’s out for a while. Oregon vs cow I do really think this is not a very good matchup It never has been for Cal last even last several years. No matter what Oregon has been dealing with they’ve always been able to be Cal I just don’t think they match up very well and I don’t think they match very well again. I think that Oregon will be able to run because they struggle with the defense and even though Cal has a pretty good past events, I think they’re gonna be able to run well enough that eventually stuff opens up and they’ll be able to pass the ball and I just think cow is just not very good offensively. They The best thing you can do is run on the Oregon arm defense and I don’t think they’re run games calm and in the past game is not that great either. And I and so I don’t I just days especially like if if they have a good receiver, it’s on the outside and that’s where Oregon’s strong is their cornerbacks. And I just don’t think they’re gonna be able to do much underneath. I think this is actually a good game for Oregon to get back on track. Oregon State vs Utah. Utah is a really kind of one that game 21 and nothing ahead of Washington they end up losing on all of Oregon State. I really like what they’ve done this year. I think they’re much better teams been impressed with Jonathan Smith has done with that program. I think I’m gonna pick Oregon State in that game. UCLA versus Arizona state issue is Arizona state’s been lost the opening week gave a game they probably should have won their head by 13 points with four minutes left. They lost it to USC, I fathers in the states like man, they have to be chomping at the bit to get back out there and get that bad taste in their mouth. They get COVID they end up having their next three games canceled. really unfortunate. They basically only have a couple games left. I just have to think that the debt COVID the rhythm of the team, overall just feeling of losing so many games IVs can be tough for Arizona State to really be any good this year. They might be Arizona last the last game of the regular season that I think they lose to UCLA. I think UCLA is playing pretty good ball. USC versus Washington State. Washington states and other teams been out last two weeks with the COVID cases. I also think that they overall just are not very good defensively. So I think UFC probably can take advantage of that. You’ll see it now and then you’ll see pacifist is actually pretty good. On the struggles off the run the Washington State it’s more effective with the pass game. I don’t think that this game kind of lines up pretty well for USC. So I’m going to pick USC in this game. Hopefully more These games happened so far nine games cancel in four weeks in the PAC 12. Seven well six in in six weeks, but then you already have one and it’s probably gonna be to, at least for the big 10 cancellations galore. Unfortunately that’s what’s happening right now. So, you know folks, I will be back next week and hopefully it’s a terrific week of college football. Okay once again, visit outside iTunes, give us a like, share and give us a review. This is Todd Turner show. Peace out people
