The Houston Rockets have signed former Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet to a 3-year, $130-million max contract, his agents told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
One of the marquee names in this year’s free-agency class, VanVleet’s massive payday is a significant upgrade over the $21-million-per-year deal he signed in 2020.
The 29-year-old had a down year in 2022-23 after making the All-Star Game the season prior, averaging 19.3 points per game on 39.3% shooting from the field.
