Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard requested a trade to the Miami Heat, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Portland is expected to work with Lillard to accommodate his trade request, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne report.
Lillard’s reported desire to leave comes just days after Blazers general manager Joe Cronin said he was “committed to building” around the franchise icon.
