Beckham to sign 1-year deal with Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are signing free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal worth up to $8.25 million, reports NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The two sides were negotiating a contract for weeks, and Miami head coach Mike McDaniel said that his team made an offer to Beckham in March.
The three-time Pro Bowl wideout played the 2023 season for the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year contract but couldn’t make a big impact on the field, finishing the campaign with 35 receptions, 565 yards, and three touchdowns in 14 appearances. He recorded only four catches for 34 yards in two playoff games with Baltimore.
Chargers sign Chark to 1-year deal worth up to $5M
The Los Angeles Chargers are signing wide receiver DJ Chark to a one-year contract that’s worth up to $5 million, sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The 27-year-old joins the Chargers after taking a free-agent visit to the team’s facility last month, per Rapoport.
Chark spent the 2023 season with the Carolina Panthers. He recorded 35 receptions for 525 yards and five touchdowns.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver spent one season with the Detroit Lions after being drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018, where he spent his first four campaigns.
Chiefs decline Toney’s 5th-year option
The Kansas City Chiefs declined to exercise the fifth-year option on wide receiver Kadarius Toney’s rookie contract, a source told ESPN’s Adam Teicher.
Toney will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 season, as Kansas City chose not to pay the fully guaranteed $14.4-million salary for 2025.
The 25-year-old was selected with the 20th overall pick by the New York Giants in the 2021 daft. He played in 12 games with the Giants, recording 41 receptions for 420 yards and no touchdowns.

Knicks outlast 76ers in Game 6 to win thrilling series
Josh Hart raised his arms and extended three fingers on each hand on his go-ahead 3-pointer from the top of the arc with 24.4 seconds left that was finally enough to send the New York Knicks past the Philadelphia 76ers 118-115 in Game 6 on Thursday night and into the second round of the playoffs.
Jalen Brunson had 41 points and 12 assists to lead the Knicks, who are set for an Eastern Conference semifinal matchup with Indiana. The Pacers beat Milwaukee in six games and advanced to the second round for the first time in 10 years.
Game 1 is Monday night in New York.
The Knicks are through to the second round in consecutive years for the first time since the postseasons from 1992-2000, and even then, nobody did what Brunson did in this series by scoring 40 points or more in each of the final three games. He became the first Knick to do that since Bernard King 40 years ago, and the first NBA player to score 40 or more to close out a series since Michael Jordan for Chicago against Cleveland in 1989.
Pacers’ team effort eliminates Bucks in Game 6
Toppin scored 21 points, McConnell added 20 points and nine assists and they led the Pacers to a 120-98 rout over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6, sending them to their first Eastern Conference semifinal in a decade.
Lillard finished with 28 points on 7-of-16 shooting.
Bobby Portis Jr. added 20 points and 15 rebounds for Milwaukee while Brook Lopez had 20 points and Khris Middleton had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Two-time All-Star Tyrese Haliburton finished with 17 points, 10 assists and six rebounds for the Pacers while Pascal Siakam added 19 points and seven rebounds.
Indiana went 8-3 against Milwaukee, which made its second straight first-round exit. It was the first under coach Doc Rivers — the Bucks third coach in 12 months.
The Milwaukee Bucks were ousted from the postseason with their Game 6 loss against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, and guard Patrick Beverley refused to be interviewed after the contest by any journalists not subscribed to his podcast, “The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone.”
Beverley told ESPN producer Malinda Adams that he wouldn’t answer questions from her since she doesn’t subscribe to his show and later asked her to leave the press circle.
