Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is feared to have suffered a Grade 3 turf toe, according to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
If confirmed, Burrow’s injury would require surgery and sideline him for at least three months, Pelissero and Rapoport report. The Bengals passer also has torn ligaments in his toe, and surgery is reportedly considered likely.
The Bengals are sending images of Burrow’s toe injury to foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
