Lionel Messi and Inter Miami are close to finalizing a multi-year contract extension to keep the Argentine megastar at the club, sources told ESPN’s Lizzy Becherano and Moises Llorens.
“A few details” need to be ironed out before the agreement is sealed, but the deal is expected to be completed soon, according to Becherano and Llorens.
After Messi and Miami come to terms, Major League Soccer must review the contract and provide final approval.
