NBA Highlight: John Salley Won Four Championships with Three Different Teams

NBA player John Salley won four championships with three different teams, and those teams were dynasties: the Detroit Pistons, the Chicago Bulls, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Salley was drafted by the Pistons in 1986 and was part of the Bad Boys Pistons in the late 80s with Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, and Dennis Rodman. In 1989 and 1990, he played on two Pistons NBA championship teams. He is among the Pistons’ all-time leaders in blocked shots.

In 1992 he was traded to the Miami Heat and was there for three years. When he became a free agent, he joined the Chicago Bulls in 1996, winning a championship with Michael Jordan. Making it three chips for Salley.

He then moved overseas to play in Greece for Panathinaikos, but only appeared for seven games.

In 2000, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers and rejoined with Phil Jackson to win his fourth championship with Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. He had very little action in this stage of his career, but got his fourth chip.

John Salley, played a big role with the Pistons, but played a smaller role with the Bulls and Lakers. Another player, similar to Robert Horry, who hardly started, but provided a big push from the bench.

A NBA hightlight…John Salley.
