PSG were knocked out of the tournament after falling 3-0 on aggregate to Bayern Munich in the round of 16. After Bayern won the first leg 1-0 in Paris, forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting added to their advantage with a second-half goal on Wednesday, and the Bavarians did brilliantly to keep another clean sheet against PSG’s star-studded attack. Serge Gnabry sealed the victory in Bavaria with a late tally.
It’s the fifth time in seven years that PSG have been eliminated in the round of 16. PSG have never won the Champions League.
Bayern Munich – winners against PSG in the 2020 Champions League final – have now reached the quarterfinals four seasons in a row.
